Prototyping the future of creative production inside one of the industry’s most storied agencies

Overview / The Opportunity

At AnomalyNY, I lead AI-driven innovation inside UNR Studios—building AI video and content pipelines and modernizing end-to-end production workflows. Drawing on automation and system design, I’ve shaped a clear vision for how AI elevates both the craft of storytelling and the operational backbone behind it.

Since joining, I’ve built the UNR Innovation Lab, launched Creative Technology and AI Production as revenue-driving pillars, and helped position the studio as a leader in applying emerging AI to brand creativity.

What I Built

I embed AI into our production ecosystem—building the systems and training teams to use them well.

Key initiatives:

AI-first production infrastructure. Built generative image + video workflows, automated cleanup/rotoscoping, pioneered emerging and hybrid workflows, and ML-based footage enhancement to improve speed, quality, and cost efficiency.

Advanced AI video pipelines. Designed modular workflows for character/product consistency, motion transfer, AI VFX, dialogue + lip sync, and rapid variant generation.

AI video model intelligence. Built a living benchmark database mapping video models to shot types and use cases—so we pick the right tool for every brief and stay ahead of the landscape.

Agency-wide enablement. Lead workshops that upskill producers, editors, and creatives across our 800-person agency on current AI workflows.

Operational + strategic advising. Partner with leadership on the AI tech stack, bottleneck removal, and standardized automation that future-proofs the business.

Spearheading AI Video Production at UNR

As AI video took off, so did the chaos—hype, uncertainty, and inconsistent results. I stepped in to bring structure, realism, and repeatability to the process.

The system applies real production discipline to generative work: we still plan shots, manage product and talent, define wardrobe and locations, and map camera moves. Composition and performance are intentionally directed so outputs stay aligned with creative vision and brand standards.

Below is a planning deck I made for our in-house producers. The original deck had animated gifs and video, so to see the real thing, you can click here.

Accelerating AI Video Production with a Model Knowledge Base

I led the build of a centralized knowledge base with Anomaly’s Emerging Tech team. The goal: map what each model does best so creatives and producers can choose the right tool, fast.

We treated it like a controlled study. We defined a shot-type taxonomy—from practical setups to surreal, boundary-pushing concepts—then ran the same prompts across models and tracked performance across motion quality, realism, continuity, and creative control.

The result is a living benchmark database that keeps teams making smarter decisions, speeds up testing, and keeps us ahead in generative video.

From the surreal…

To the mundane…

Outcomes & Legacy

While still in progress, my efforts have already:

  • Reduced costs and turnaround times through automation and AI

  • Sparked internal dialogue around new creative formats and production models

  • Positioned creative technology as a strategic growth area for the agency

The Innovation Lab I envisioned is becoming a sandbox for next-gen ideas—and a launchpad for rethinking what agency creative & production can be in the years ahead.
